In the rugged and breath taking landscapes of the Cairngorms in Scotland, where the air is crisp and the hills roll endlessly, an idea was born. Amidst the solitude of wild camping, surrounded by the whispers of ancient forests and the gentle flow of crystal-clear streams, Arron Dawkin found himself inspired to create something unique—a clothing brand that echoes the wild
With nothing more than a tent and a few essentials, Arron & his friend Dan embarked on their adventure, driven by a passion for nature. Each day presented a fresh canvas, as Arron hiked through the misty hills, capturing the essence of the wilderness. His nights were spent under the stars where the burning camp stove provided warmth & some dinner.
As we moved from one camp spot to another, stories of the past & future were shared over ration packs and IPA (my favourite)
Through the challenges of wild camping and the unpredictable Scottish weather, my determination never wavered. We embraced the elements, knowing that each raindrop (lots) and gust of wind was a part of the experience & vision i wished to weave into my creations. My journey, much like the landscape i traversed, was a testament to resilience and the boundless possibilities that come from following one’s passion.
Norrad stands today not just as a clothing brand, but as a passion of the outdoors, untamed beauty and of those who dare to dream amidst its wild, enchanting landscapes throughout the UK.
